Mr. Meydan

While our stay was only one night it was very satisfactory. We learned of you through the Turkey Travel Planner site and you were as described. The front desk clerk was professional, polite and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very satisfactory. The airport transportation was excellent as well.

Thank you
Roland Alexander

It was a good surprise to stay with you in Istanbul. We had a great time in your country and part of it was because of your hotel. The "cave" room is absolutely adorable, the staff was really helpful and breakfast was a delight. Location is also a plus. At the first moment, we thought the noise of the train would be a problem, but it turned out to be fun, so pleased we were with all the rest!

Thank you very much for the accommodation and we will certainly look for you when we come back again to Istanbul.
Best regards,

Dear Ozay Meydan,

Thank you for your email. My friends and I enjoyed our stay at your hotel very much. When we arrived our room and bathroom were very clean. Each day the staff cleaned the rooms very well and we were pleased to received fresh towels each day. It was very convenient to have a fridge in our room. The location of the breakfast on the terrace was delightful. The view is spectacular. The food was well presented and represented a good mix of Turkish and Western foods. Having tea and coffee and cake available at other times was very welcome. The view from the terrace was equally good at night!

All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We booked a tour and our airport transport with the young man at reception and that was all very easy and handled well.

I would recommend your hotel to other travellers. The location, so close to the Blue Mosque and other attractions, plus restaurants, and the fabulous view, make this a great place to stay. The price is good and the staff are very helpful.
Best wishes
Suzanne

"Wonderful place, wonderful staff!" I felt like a princess from ottoman's era in your hotel! That week spent with you was like a dream, the staff so nice, and helpful, the breakfast so tasty with multiples things to try, the area, with many shops, and touristic places. They picked me up from the airport, they were on time, I didn't have to wait, and they gave me some usefull advises because it was my first time in Turkey. I only have good memories of the time I spent in Sultanahmet and in this hotel. I just want to come back to Nazwooden house next time I'm passing by Istanbul. Thank you for everything!!

Friendly People - Perfect Location We found the Naz Wooden House Inn through a few online sources (Turkey Travel Planner & Backpacker Travel). The people here were friendly and helpful. Breakfast in a nice room overlooking the mouth of the Bosphorus and Sea of Marmara. Walking distance to all major sites in Istanbul. (Visit the rooftop to get a good visual for where the hotel is with respect to the Blue Mosque, and you'll be able to get back to the hotel in no time.) Note, there is a train that goes by right behind the hotel. It is not that frequent, doesn't run late night/morning, and though it was a huge disappointment when it went by just after we checked in, it was not very noticeable, and we did not loose any sleep.

"Individual and convenient" Naz Wooden House Hotel is a small (7 rooms) independent hotel conveniently situated for the UNESCO World Heritage site. The service is friendly and welcoming and the rooms adequately furnished with effiecient and quiet air conditioning and a good en-suite shower. Despite the name, the amount of wood in the construction is restricted and our room was distinctly made of stone. The room was also on the small side (2m by 5m). However, at 70euros per night B&B for a double room, 5 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and roof terrace views of the mosque and the sea, it represents excellent value for money. We'd certainly go back. Complimentary coffee and cake in the late afternoon was a nice touch and provided a respite from sightseeing before venturing out for an evening

"Wonderful find"Naz Wooden House was a great find. We had the room which is apparently built into the old city wall. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially one of the managers who helped us plan day bus and boat trips away. Breakfast is served from a roof top terrace with a lovely view. Naz is close to all the sightseeing in Sultanahmet. Really good value.

I had a wonderful experience in this hotel. I picked it out of Tom Brosnahan's website and it turned out to be a great recommendation. The hotel has the old world charm with reasonably good modern amenities that make a wonderful stay. The beds are comfortable, bathrooms clean & functional and the views from dining room and terrace are simply fantastic. The hotel is affiliated with Backpackers travel and I took their guided walking tours of Istanbul - totally worth the money. The airport transfers offered by the backpackers are great too - especially for the first time travelers. While all the staff was very friendly and helpful, the highest praise goes to Ozay Mayden, the manager at front desk. Gem of a person - he went out of his way to the stay truly wonderful. He recommended and ordered the best food, organized my trips and to top it all he accompanied me on a walking trip around the Istiklal street and Taksim square exploring various by-streets and sampling delicious roadside fare along the way. I would whole-heartedly recommend this hotel for completing your Istanbul experience.

This is my 3rd time at the NAZ hotel and I find this little charming hotel excellant value for money as well as great service and friendly faces. You are greeted by a very nice chap "Ozay Bey" who goes out of his way to help and very nice. Best of the hotel is run by a lovely lady called Khadijeh Abla who looks after the housekeeping and she is a gem!!! Friendly and very helpful. All the hotels in the same class as the NAZ should take a leaf out of NAZ as such service always brings customers back and as I have mentioned before, this is the 3rd time I am back at the NAZ. So thumbs up!!!!!!!

the hotel is in very strategy place, in the heart of the touristic zone, littered with little pretty hotels and restaurants. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. We have our great breakfast in the terrace on the top of the hotel , with magnificent view, both at the Sultan Ahmet mosque and the Marmara sea. The hotel offers a large number of trips over Istambul and the Bosfour. The staff was very helpful and polite. If we heave a way to Istambul, we will be back again at this hotel.

A very charming, individual small house with very friendly and helpful staff in the best old town location and ideal local traffic connection (streetcar, stop Sultanahmet approx. 5 Min). All old town places of interest and the different bazaars are easily accessible on foot. A nice breakfast space and a roof patio with view of the sea and the blue mosque sweeten the morning hours or invite to the conclusion of the evening. A very pleasant atmosphere to which also the already praised staff contributes his part. The airport transfer offered by the hotel is also highly recommended (on time, friendly...).
We would definitely book the hotel again.
